VT100 Emulator for Psion Series 3a
==================================

Thank you for your interest in our VT100 emulator for the Psion Series 
3a. Here is a brief overview of the product;

VT100 provides an 80 column by 24 line full-screen emulation of the DEC 
VT-100 terminal. VT100 is designed to complement the built-in 'Comms' 
app, and many of the menu options and hot-keys will be familiar if you 
have used 'Comms'.

VT100 supports most of the features of the real terminal, including:
forward and reverse scrolling, highlighting, underline, inverse video, 
graphic box characters, keypad emulation, insert/overwrite mode, autowrap,
Delete and Enter key mapping, full serial port and handshake 
configuration, clear screen, reset terminal, tab settings, full cursor 
movement, line and block erase... the list goes on and on! 

In addition, VT100 allows you to save the current terminal settings 
between sessions, log incoming data to a file, pause the screen, and get 
help on the various options.


Demo version 1
--------------

In this version there is no 132 column mode, no double size 
characters, and the viewing mode is "full-screen": there are no zoomable 
fonts. There are currently no built-in file transfer protocols.

We are distributing free copies of version 1, for you to try your 
application. These demo copies will time out on 31st March 1994.
The demo version will do no harm to any part of your system after
this date, but it will only boot up a message suggesting you buy
version 2 from us.


Version 2 - available April 1994
--------------------------------

From the beginning of April we will be distributing the full version
of VT100.

It will include
-       scaleable fonts, allowing you to view either the full screen
        or a virtual window on the screen.
-       file transfer protocols


If you register your interest with us, we will send you a full information
pack and issue 8 of Widget News in time for you to ensure no interruption
of use.

Until then, please feel free to make full use of the demo version, and
distribute it to friends or colleagues.
